http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10284130-1.html?tag=TOCmoreStories.0 Pretty good hands on preview. I'm cautiously optimistic about this game. It LOOKS gorgeous. It's clear that this game is finally taking a step forward this year. I can't really the same about NCAA with a straight face. Maybe NCAA 2011 will benefit from some of what's going on here. That's always the way it's been anyways: Madden will take a step forward and then some of it trickles to NCAA a year later. Graphics wise, a few of those pictures look outright real to me. I don't really like the idea of the action being slowed down but at least they give the end user full control over that aspect and a lot of other things. Worth reading and looking at the pretty pictures. |

Yeah, this should hopefully be kick ass. Even the guys at Maddenmania are looking forward to this(last I was over there that is). Honestly though, the last two years, maybe three, I've thought that NCAA was more enjoyable than Madden. Just my opinion, but it took some of my enjoyment away that Madden took away some of the little things from the game, like being able to set your own ticket and concession prices in Franchise mode. Nothing really killer, just little pet peeves like that. Hopefully those things find their way back into the game. |

Releases August 14th. It's looking and sounding REAL good. Now THIS doesn't look and sound like a quickie repeat of last year's game and I guess I'll be getting this pretty soon. 360: http://www.gamerankings.com/xbox360/958702-madden-nfl-10/index.html PS3: http://www.gamerankings.com/ps3/958701-madden-nfl-10/index.html I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a football game get these kinds of consistently high scores that amount to basically near a 9/10 average. |

Thoughts? Cav was speaking highly of it last night. I also read where ea already put out a roster update with Michael Vick and without Plaxico or Donte Stallworth. |

I don't know. I've been one of these people that buys these games blind every year with loyalty. Last year's game had to be a personal record for me in terms of playing a handful of times and simply losing interest. This is the first year I didn't preorder and buy it on day one. I've never done that before. I wish I could see more comparisions between it and NCAA 2010 in terms of features and especially gameplay. The demo for Madden really didn't do much for me although I'm told the final game and the speed variant feature are way better. The demo is purportedly a fairly poor ambassaor for the title. I'm on the fence about getting it. I'm tired of spending $60 on games that I play a handful of times and then get bored with. At least NCAA has pleased for the most part. Somewhere in this mix comes my real life bias: I just happen to like college a lot more than pro. What do you think? |

I'll play it when I get home, but from what Cav told me, it is better than last year, tho he liked NCAA better. But we're like you, we enjoy college more than the NFL anyway. |

I'll look forward to your thoughts. Do make sure you experiment with the game speeds and all that. I'm going to be very interested to see how you think it compares to NCAA 2010 from a gameplay standpoint and features. Please ask Cav to swing by here sometime. We miss him. ![]() |

You have a chance to play Madden yet? Everyone says the game itself is way better than the demo and I said the hell with it and I'm going to get my copy here in a day or two. If I really don't like it, I can always sell it back on Amazon and it'll be like a rental. By all accounts it's a lot better than 09 and that frankly will be good enough for me. |

Yeah it is better than last year all around. I've only played a couple games and can tell that already. |

There's a handful of gameplay perks people have mentioned that NCAA doesn't have that I'm looking forward to trying out. Keep posting your thoughts as you play it more and I will, too, when I get mine. ![]() I could see us finally having two good football games to play again this year.
