In an update to the earlier report of an incident involving CM Punk from the recent overseas tour, it is being said the incident involved the Undertaker confronting CM Punk. The report by Dave Meltzer of WrestlingObserver.com noted that this might not be exactly how the incident transpired but this is how it was told.

The Undertaker took issue with CM Punk's appearance during the European tour and told him he needs to dress more appropriate for a World Champion and that he is representing WWE overseas. Punk's response was, "what about John Cena?"

The conversation got back to WWE management and they took it as if CM Punk feels he is a bigger star than John Cena is. The decision was then made to strip Punk of the title at last night's Hell In A Cell PPV and make it an opener.

The incident and Punk losing the title has been the talk of the Smackdown locker room over the weekend. Majority of those from the Smackdown brand were under the impression that Undertaker would win and there are some who are wondering why someone who works a limited schedule and has health issues was given the title and that it was too early to take the belt off CM Punk.

The current plan is for the Undertaker to start a program with Batista.

If this is true, it's total BULLSHIT. Dusty Rhodes dressed how he wanted, because his character was "Son of a Plumber." Undertaker doesn't wear a suit and tie....WTF? Jeff Hardy never did because he was his own character. So why CM Punk? That isn't his character.

I am hoping this is another bs rumor. Also, I will shit a brick if we have to see another Batista/Taker feud. It was good the first time, let it go.

I don't think this is true considering on how Jeff was allowed to do it.

Yeah, these "Punk in the doghouse" rumors seem to pop up every year.

And J.R. pretty much shoots it down.

Seriously though, why does this rumor show up every year in terms of Punk?

Why does it always have to be a dog house? Are there no other available structures for Punk to reside in?

How bout a used refrigerator box? Then I could read the following on LOP about bi-monthly "Dave Meltzer reports: CM Punk back in refrigerator box?"

It seems the rumor that CM Punk was stripped of his World Championship due to an altercation over the dress code is not the only story circulating the industry.

According to F4WOnline.com, another story that made rounds this weekend is that CM Punk caught heat with WWE officials for openly expressing the belief that he felt it was too soon for him to drop the World Championship.

While most believe the former--that Punk expressed "attitude" when Undertaker confronted him about not dressing like a champion on the European tour--both stories generally point to one thing: a negative reaction to an alleged attitude problem on CM Punk's part led to his being stripped of the title in the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view opener.

News on what supposedly led to CM Punk's title defeat has generated two contrasting reactions from the lockerroom. As Punk has a reputation for being a "heat magnet" with a contingent of the roster, some were pleased to see what they perceive to be his attitude catch up with him and result in a punishment. On the other hand, there was a sector that felt anything he might have done was too minor to warrant going against better judgment by putting the World title on a wrestler who is clearly not 100% and does not work most house shows.

- As seen lately on SmackDown, CM Punk has taken a less prominent role since losing the World Heavyweight Title to The Undertaker at Hell in a Cell. While some may see it as Punk being buried or demoted, WWE is actually looking to have him assist R-Truth by putting him over in hope that he reaches the main event level.

Not seeing the potential in R-Truth. Bad gimmick.

Avg. mid-card talent at best

Agreed.

I know that the CM Punk doghouse rumors are way past cliche but I'm starting to wonder about it at this point...
