Got a couple emails about this, but they never gave me any codes. Looking like it's just a sale across the board. |

Why the hell is Deep Discount charging so much for the Star Trek Blu Ray? I was going to order some stuff from them if I could save some dough but I'd just assume go pick it up after work if they are going to charge $35 for something Best Buy is selling for $20 on release date. That's at least something Best Buy has gotten good about, Blu Rays tend to be $14.99 - $19.99 if you get them the week they come out. |

I find that I recommend Deep Discount lukewarmly these days. I usually just advise price comparing them against Amazon or Best Buy and the like. Sometimes they win out, sometimes they don't. What's annoying is when they list something and you buy it and then you find out it's out of stock for who knows how long. So that's why I really haven't mentioned them in a while. |

Yeah, here lately I haven't gotten much from them, and what I have ordered has been stuff that's harder to find elsewhere. The only thing I was looking to get is the box set of Star Trek TNG movies. It's on sale at Best Buy this week for $44.99, DD.com has it for $41.99. I'm already going by Best Buy tomorrow to pick up the new Star Trek movie, and honestly, $3 isn't enough of a savings to where I have to order it now as opposed to buying it in the store(plus I'm trying to pay off my credit cards, not put more things on them when I still have Xmas shopping to do). |

Yeah it's hit or miss with me. It's super convenient for my music sometimes since the stuff I buy typically isn't stocked by major retailers and FYE charges an arm and a leg for the same albums so I buy from DD and save a ton. The catch (as Q mentioned above) is that I hate when you order an album that doesn't say "out of stock" just to find out it's on backorder. I've been waiting since September for 3 albums I purchased. Can't really complain because it's not like I've been charged, nor can I get them elsewhere (even Amazon is out of stock) but still it sucks that you order something that says it's available only for it not to be. As for movies, I find it's rarely worth getting new releases there since so many places do sales on the first week anyway. Like I said, almost all major Blu Ray releases are 14.99 - 19.99 depending on the movie at Best Buy on the first week. Still though, the sales typically more than make up for the few minor gripes I have. |

A.) Amazon usually has good prices B.) Blockbusters are shutting down nationwide, and are selling everything in the store. |
