Several wrestlers this weekend including Awesome Kong raised money for the people of Haiti with various fundraisers. Regarding the relief efforts, new TNA personality Bubba The Love Sponge wrote the following crude remark on his Twitter: " I say f*** hati. Why do we have to take care of everybody our country is in shambles. Bubba" Real good pickup there by TNA. I get the guy's gimmick is to spark controversy but at least attempt to be somewhat responsible and have compassion for the loss of human lives. Wrestling News Site Anonymous sent along the following: After you and other sites reported Bubba the Love Sponge's disgusting remarks towards Haiti, a large number of fans tweeted Dixie Carter sharing their dismay that her employee would say something and get away with it. Bubba responded with some derogatory remarks towards those fans personally, including calling someone 'Osama bin Laden' due to their name. Not only that he has his "Bubba Army" aka two or three guys find their personal info such as phone numbers and numbers of relatives and harass them. In summary, fans outraged at the remarks... if they mention it on twitter. Beware. Bubba will have his guys harass them AND their families. A few people have mentioned boycotting TNA because of this. Real stand up guy

When I saw this fat POS lowlife on my TV I knew I was in the dregs in some respects. He was one of the first things people saw that night. Bad move by TNA but this is another Hogan sycophant that got brought on board and another example of why I'll "wait and see" about TNA's prospects with considerably less optimism than Stinger, for example.

For the sake of perception and any integrity: If I don't see a bulletin about him being shitcanned real soon...it just isn't going to reflect well on TNA at all. They shouldn't have brought him on in the first place. They need to cut him loose pronto. There's no upside to him in any event and certainly not now with this.

TNA shouldn't have brought on garbage like Bubba in the first place. I don't know who Jeremy Borash is but I'm assuing that's probably good news, too. My personal compliments to Eric Bischoff for having this "power trip."

I was under the impression that the stuff with him being "fired" (JB that is) was just a work but I guess we'll see.

He's a good interviewer, and he is/was on the creative team and does a lot for TNA's website, DVD's, house shows. Hes' been with TNA since the very beginning. Dixie Carter likes him, so he isn't going anywhere. And if he does, it'd be a negative. Bubba, I can see why TNA attempted him. He has a national radio show that a lot of people listen to, and it was a good way to get some advertisement. I never saw him lasting long, so good riddance. I guarantee it has more to do with his goons bashing the TNA fans for being wrestling fans or "marks", than his Haiti comment. Also, LOL at Hogan being "vetoed" and Eric Bischoff running wild with power. I guess Bubba thought he could come in and take over, apparently Uncle Eric isn't being very nice to poor Bubba. Heh, serves him right I guess.
