Goldberg Returning?

I'll say given the options for him right now, I'd prefer he do his 'return' in TNA.. There's really not a lot I can picture him doing in WWE that would be that interesting IMO... and we've all seen how inept WWE was at using the Goldberg character in the past...

Hell, if all he wants is just to do one match, I'd LOVE to see a Goldberg/Kurt Angle match up... Kurt could probably carry him to a hell of a match too, provided he was in ring shape. I'd work it into Kurt's current storyline of climbing the TNA top ten rankings... let him get to the number one spot finally, and then Bishchoff can come out and announce that before Kurt can get his title shot, there's one more "special challenge" he must conquer, and then book him and Goldberg for the next big show.

Could be a big match if built up right, but I prefer the Angle match for a few reasons.

1. It would be a much better match I think. I see Goldberg/Cena as basically a potentially uglier, sloppier version of Batista/Cena

2. Angle and Goldberg are closer in age, and from the same general era. Beating Goldberg at this point doesn't really put Cena on the map anymore than where he's at now, whereas, if Goldberg (although I doubt this would happen) were to beat Cena, it would be a horrible booking move. Gberg/Angle, again, both old guys, one in for a one shot deal, the other one who will be retired in a couple years (or should be) so, it really matters a lot less who wins/loses (although Angle certainly SHOULD win in that above scenario)

3. Finally, Goldberg in 2010, I'm not sure still has the star power to warrant headlining a WWE PPV (Whereas in TNA, it's more a " eh why not?" scenario). Boom era Goldberg, sure, he could headline Wrestlemanias, but after all this time out of the limelight, his day has more than passed IMO... and throwing him into the main event scene of WWE against a guy like Cena would just kinda be an odd fit..

Hey man your clock won't flush!!!
Wrestlemania is in the Ga Dome, his home field when he played for the Falcons, and when he won his first world title in the biggest match in WCW history. Not to mention he is most likely the headliner for the Hall of Fame. It makes too much sense not to bring him back.

If Cena is a heel by then, it could work well. If he is not, an old rivalry with Triple H could happen, in which Triple H must lose at Mania. Another possibility is Jericho as they have a history.

All solid choices there. I think the Jericho one is the most likely though. See basically the same ideas we all had for Austin at Wrestlemania 25, but just replace Texas with Georgia and his bald head with Goldy's.
