To me, to be a conservative means to conserve the good parts of America and to conserve our Constitution.

As noted last night, David Penzer is gone from TNA. Penzer's deal expired and he had been telling people for some time he was leaving. Until TNA hires another announcer, Jeremy Borash will return to ring announcing as seen at Sacrifice last night.

That sucks, I've always thought Penzer was a great ring announcer. Seemed to be a nice guy, emailed me feedback on a column I wrote years ago when I was writing for multiple sites (the column was "I Thought Vince Bought WCW".) I don't have anything against Borash, but he's certainly no Penz.

Penzer is unique. I think he is good at what he does, but no ring announcer is irreplaceable in my book. Borash does ring announcing for house shows on top of playing MC, so he doesn't have any rust to dust off or anything.

Heh, Jeremy Borash emailed me once when I used to do the TNA recaps on LOP way back in 2006 (when the show was still fairly good, but just on the verge of falling off a cliff)...

Word in the rumor mills online is that TNA is about to do some major house cleaning to save money, so I imagine Penzer was probably an easy way to get the ball rolling on that.

I remember hearing the rumblings about Penzer not wanting to continue a few weeks back. So it may just be coincidence that his contract ran out before these cost cutting measures.

Either way, it's not a good sign for the Hogan/Bisch start if they have to do all this four months after the start of the "era".

He's a nice guy by most accounts, but Penzer does not possess a "signature" level voice and style, IMO.

Gary Michael Capetta was the best of the best ever to do it full time, in my estimation.
